Overview

What is Hair PRP?

Hair PRP Therapy is a regenerative medical treatment that harnesses the healing and growth-stimulating properties of your own blood's platelets to combat hair thinning and loss. Platelets are naturally rich in growth factors — proteins that play a crucial role in tissue repair, cell signalling, and follicular regeneration. When concentrated PRP is injected directly into the scalp, these growth factors stimulate dormant hair follicles, extend the active growth phase of hair, improve blood supply to the scalp, and promote the growth of thicker, stronger, and healthier hair strands.

The Science

How It Works

A small blood sample is drawn from your arm and processed in a centrifuge for approximately 10 minutes. This separates the blood into its components and concentrates the platelet-rich plasma — which contains up to 5–10x the normal concentration of growth factors. The PRP is then carefully injected into the scalp at precise depths using ultra-fine needles, targeting the areas of thinning or loss. The growth factors penetrate the follicle bulge cells, stimulating them to transition from the resting (telogen) phase back into the active growth (anagen) phase. Sessions are spaced one month apart for optimal follicular stimulation.

Treatment results
1
Scalp & Hair Assessment

Your specialist assesses your scalp health, hair loss pattern, and density to confirm suitability and design a personalised protocol.

2
Blood Draw

A small blood sample (20–30ml) is drawn from your arm — similar to a standard blood test — using a sterile collection system.

3
PRP Centrifugation

Your blood is placed in a centrifuge and spun for approximately 10 minutes to isolate and concentrate the platelet-rich plasma component.

4
Scalp Preparation

Your scalp is cleansed and a topical numbing spray is applied to the injection sites for maximum comfort during the procedure.

5
PRP Injection into Scalp

Using ultra-fine needles, the concentrated PRP is delivered in a series of precise micro-injections across the areas of thinning or loss.

6
Post-Treatment Care

You may experience mild scalp sensitivity for 24 hours. You'll receive aftercare instructions including temporary washing restrictions and nutrition guidance.
